Today, it’s easy to book directly with the company you’ll be traveling with. Strictly speaking, you don’t need a travel agent. So why should you use one? The answer is that some vacations destinations, Disney in particular, have a lot of options. So many options. And those options change fast, especially in 2020. Changes in how FastPasses work, whether they even exist, the Magical Express, the Dining Plan, Magic Bands, Park Hopper rules, Park Passes, which restaurants are open, which hotels are open, which bus lines, boat lines, monorail lines are running, when are cruises starting again?! Are you keeping up with it all??
If you’re not, it can be incredibly frustrating when all you want is for someone to just take your money for a nice vacation and not charge an arm and a leg to do it. Well good news – I’ll keep up with all the latest news for you, make the booking process as smooth as possible, and I cost you NOTHING. Nada. Zip. If you have a lovely vacation, then I get paid through commission.
But doesn’t that mean I’ll try to upsell you things you don’t really want? Even better news – this is not my day job! I love keeping up with the ins-and-outs and helping friends and family plan vacations. I finally took the plunge to become an official travel agent so I could make a little extra cash while doing what I was already doing. In other words, whether you book the Park Hopper or Park Hopper + tickets, I still get to eat tonight.
